This month's sponsors...

Marx Toys

The best toys are made by Marx. Everyone loves the Rock em' Sock em' Robots. In the past, Marx created the Stonewall Smith action figure for Montgomery Ward and later made the Buddy Charlie action figure. Unlike the competition, these toy soldiers were made right here in the United States. Marx toy trains work everywhere without electrical power. All Marx toys are American made. Next time you go shopping, look for Marx Toys, made by Louis Marx and Company of New York City.

Ohrbach's

Many television programs have the famous tag, "Fashions by Ohrbach's." While most of the television shows that carry this tag originate in New York, you will be glad to know that you, too, can buy your fashions at Ohrbach's.

In the Los Cerritos Shopping Center in Cerritos, they are the anchor store. We may not have Macy's, Gimbel's, or Strawbridge and Clothier, but we do have Ohrbach's. And, surprisingly, they aren't that expensive.

Movieland Wax Museum

Located on Beach Blvd. (State Route 39) in Buena Park, this is the best wax museum of its kind in the world. See your favorite scenes from some of your favorite movies. If you get tired of movies, hop over to the Palace of Living Art, which is also located on the premises. Here, you can see wax life size reproductions of your favorite paintings. You can see the Blue Boy and Pinkie. Both of these paintings are housed nearby in the Huntington Library in San Marino. But if you want to see what it really looked like, go to Buena Park. It's within walking distance of Knott's Berry Farm!

Thriftimart

Located in the Mount Vernon Shopping Center at the corner of Mount Vernon Avenue (Business Route US 91-395) and Olive Street. We feature Jerseymaid milk and Iris soda pop.

Minnie Pearl's Fried Chicken

Located near McDonald's and Minnie Pearl's Roast Beef Sandwiches on Foothill Boulevard (US Route 66) in Rialto. This week's special is two of Cousin Minnie's pies for the price of one. There is no limit. Come this weekend and enjoy the tastiest fried chicken you ever ate. Made from Cousin Minnie's own recipe. You'd think she fried it herself!

DISCLAIMER: Just so you know, the above firms no longer exist. And Macy's took over almost every department chain in the United States, including the territory of Guam.
