Let's Eat Out

A lot of people today complain that the nation is becoming the same all over. Actually, restaurant chains have existed for almost a century, since the first fast food chain, the Pig Stand. Lots of places no longer exist. Some only have one location left. Others no longer have chain operations in the United States but do great overseas. Kenny Rogers Roasters only has one restaurant at the Ontario Mills Mall in Southern California (in the USA). However, it's all over the Philippines (although not where I am now in Cagayan de Oro). Shakey's Pizza is a bigger chain here than it ever was in America. Sambo's only has its original Santa Barbara (California) location. And it closes early.
